Although, there is growing demand for acting and modeling courses, only a select few institutes offer professional courses in this category. Recognizing this gap in demand and supply, many private colleges and institutes have now begun offering acting and modeling courses. Unfortunately though, most of these courses tend to be vocational or certificate courses. What is also encouraging to note is the fact that many established actors and models have started their own schools where they groom talent.
Eligibility

It is advisable though that aspiring candidates who want to make a career in acting and modeling do so after completing their class 12th. In addition, aspiring candidates need to have good communication skills, should be in good health and should be prepared to work long hours.
Prospects
Candidates who successfully complete a course in acting and modeling have a wide variety of options to choose from. These candidates can find employment with modeling agencies, advertising agencies, films and television. However, there usually is a long struggle involved before a candidate can land a plump offer but once that happens, it is worth all the sweat and the long wait.
