AIPMT Entrance Exam

If you are seeing the dream of being a doctor or getting into medical field, then you must start for the sources such as renowned medical colleges and entrance exams for medical like All India Pre-Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT).

AIPMT is an opening door for you from where you move into the world of medical by getting admission to a renowned medical institution or college. However, you need to prepare well to pass this exam successfully.

Eligibility Criteria for AIPMT Entrance Exam

  • You must be 17 years of age or more at the time of seeking admission. The maximum age limit for taking this test is 25 years. 
  • You can attempt this medical entrance exam for maximum three times. 
  • Other than passing out 10+2 in physics, biology, chemistry and English, you must have minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 
  • Students with awaited results can also appear in the entrance test.

Medical Entrance Exam Pattern

In the Preliminary exam, you are required to attempt a single paper comprising 200 objective type questions taken from physics, biology and chemistry.

You will be given the time of 3 hours to attempt these questions. After succeeding in the preliminary examination, you become eligible to appear for the final exam for the AIPMT.  

In the final exam for the AIPMT, you are needed to take two papers with 2 hours duration for each paper. First paper will be based on Physics and Chemistry while the second paper will be on Biology comprising Botany and Zoology.

Basic Exam Preparation Tips

The pressure of appearing into medical entrance exams can be understood considering the fact that it is not an easy thing where one is expected to have lots of hard core concentration and need to do in depth analysis of theories.

  • So, the first thing to deal with this nerve wrecking process is to keep yourself calm and composed. 
  • It is highly important that you are preparing for medical examination test with your mind tension free instead of having butterflies in the stomach! 
  • You can start with some light exercises such as allow your mind free and keep a tight grip over your emotion and thus you will find yourself saved from being distracted.  Also, try some breathing exercises to increase concentration of your mind in studies only leaving other things out.
  • The best formula to deal with any situation including your medical entrance exam is to maintain positive thinking and prepare you for exam with positive attitude.  
  • Don’t be a book worm rather study in a smart way. Collect useful information and date instead of memorizing the things for several hours right from your textbooks. 
  • If possible, make notes of everything that you study and revise them thoroughly. Attend your lectures and prepare notes and revise them after the lecture is over.

Just by doing bit systematic preparation, you will be able to achieve success in medical entrance exam without indulging yourself into the huge text books.
