Aspiring for post graduation from Symbiosis?

Symbiosis is one of the most credible families of institute in India for management and other courses and in order to apply for any post graduate management course in any Symbiosis institute student have to apply for SNAP Test (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test).

SNAP Test was originated in order to make the admission procedure simpler and organized for all the 11 Symbiosis institutes:

  1. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM)
  2. Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC)
  3. Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR)
  4. Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB)
  5. Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS)
  6. Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics (SIG)
  7. Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM)
  8. Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS)
  9. Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD)
  10. Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT)
  11. Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM)

The eligibility to apply for SNAP Test is minimum 50% marks in graduation for general category and minimum 45% marks in graduation for ST/SC students. Students in final year can also apply but only on provisional basis.

Student needs to first register at the SNAP website www.snaptest.org and make the payment of entrance via cash, credit card, DD or money transfer. Admit cards are issued online only and students are required to take the print out of their admit cards. SNAP has various centers all over India and all the important news, updates and important dates are available on their site.

SNAP entrance Test is a two hour test with 180 questions.  All questions asked are objective types and segregated under four main categories::a) General English, b) Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, c) General Awareness, d) Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

General English category includes Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. 40 questions weighing 1 mark each are asked under this category. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency also carries of 40 questions weighing 1 mark each. General English category includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Business Scenario carrying 40 questions weighing 1 mark and last part is Analytical & Logical Reasoning which comprises of 30 questions 2 marks each.

Remember that SNAP Test has negative marking where each wrong answer draws 25% negative marks.
