Eligibility

A graduation degree is a must to enroll for the master’s program offered by different institutes. In addition to a bachelor’s degree, candidates must have atleast basic knowledge of biology, pharmacy so it would be fair to say that candidates from these streams often make a mark in this field.

Types of Clinical Research

There are various types of clinical research but a clinical trial is perhaps the most common and well known. Whenever a new drug or a medicine is introduced in the market, a wide range of clinical trials are conducted in a controlled environment to measure the drug on various parameters in order to ascertain that these are safe for mass consumption. Clinical trials can vary in size from a single center in one country to multicenter trials in multiple countries.

Prospects

Like the BPO industry, there is a dearth of trained professionals within the clinical research industry. Freshers can expect to start with a package of around 3 lakhs per annum while if one has a master’s degree backing basic qualification, this amount more than doubles.
