The process of applying managerial and marketing skills to produce an event is known as Event Management. The event to be organized can either be of any organization or an individual for instance, seminars, conferences, weddings, parties etc.
This is one of its kind professions which in a way does not require any professional training or educational qualification but there are institutes offering courses to polish skills of interested students and help them acquire acquaintance with the latest opportunities and up to date resources’ available in the dynamic environment around them. The eligibility is minimum 10+2 with a good command over English language.
An Event manager with good command over the language must also be a friendly with a pleasant attitude, an understanding and creative individual. He should be capable enough to understand their customers’ demands and wishes and work accordingly.
India is a developing industry but will an impressive rate of individual and country growth. The economic independence and stability is allowing people to spend handsome amount on leisure and socializing activities and also not to forget that India is the land of festivals where every season and reason welcomes a festival to enjoy with friends, family and society. Thus, Event Management does not only require its professionals to be employed only by an organization but also open avenues for self employment with minimalistic investment required.
In nutshell, an individual who’s willing for team work and dedication for his job and inclination towards creativity is a game for Event Management.
