BA - Geography

Geography at undergraduate level elucidates the vastness of the subject compared to what has been studied at middle-course subject. At this level students get familiar not only with the ‘what’ aspects but also with the 'why'.

Broadly geography can be categorized into two namely 'physical geography' and 'human geography'.

Physical geography deals in the natural processes in the environment. It comprises climatology, land surface processes, biogeography and the blend of other subareas.

Human geography covers the relation between human activities and its respond to their environments and in turn reaction of environment towards these actions. It comprises the social, political, economic and the historical parts of human activities.

Students learn how to handle data, develop study skills as well as interpersonal skills and are informed and educated about the prominent elements of relevant areas of geography.
