According to American Society of Landscape Architects Landscape Designing is, "the art and science of analysis, planning, design, management, preservation and rehabilitation of the land". The Landscape designing course imparts knowledge about the careful planning and designing of infrastructure with full consideration for natural environment. It is diverse field of study and encompasses important subjects like botany, architecture, horticulture, ecology, earth sciences, industrial design and environmental psychology. A student should also posses few key personality traits like creativity, designing skills, knowledge of environmental laws, familiarity with important software’s like CAD etc. There are a lot of national and international universities which offer post graduate courses in Landscape Designing. With the boom in property sector; the need and requirement for trained professionals in Landscape designing and management has arisen.

Eligibility and Duration of M.Plan Landscape Design

The minimum educational qualification required to apply for this course is 10+2+3 from a recognized university. Universities prefer students with architecture or science background. The duration is 2 years. It should always be noted that admission criterion may differ with every institute.
